Don't Fall Into the 'Premium' Coating Trap: A GlassesUSA Warning ⚠️
I’m writing this as a warning for anyone considering an online eyewear purchase. My experience started off positive but quickly soured, leaving me deeply frustrated. Everything about working with GlassesUSA was great until the glasses defect surfaced. I paid for premium lenses including the $48 extra for the Super Hydrophobic coating. These lenses are nearly impossible to clean. I have 9 pairs of Zenni glasses and not a single one of them have this issues. The only reason I tried GlassesUSA is because Zenni didn't offer the frames I wanted which included the snap-on sunglasses. This defect, coupled with their initial poor warranty response, forced me to repeatedly contact their customer service to get the resolution I was entitled to.
Customer: My lenses are defective. I paid an extra $48 for the Super Hydrophobic coating, and they're constantly smudged and impossible to clean. Your chat agent offered me a 50% store credit, which is an unacceptable solution for a faulty product under a 365-day warranty.

Customer: My order is #105180754. I've been wearing glasses for over 60 years, this isn't a user issue. It's a clear defect. I don't want a credit, I just want a replacement pair with the coating applied correctly, like I originally paid for.
