I'm here to share a truly terrible online shopping experience, hoping my story serves as a warning. My recent attempt to buy glasses turned into a frustrating ordeal because the website was so full of glitches, making it impossible to collect an offer they advertised. This company was truly dishonest, doesn't honor promos. I experienced the worst of it when their site glitches made it impossible to apply a discount. There was no customer service 24 hours, no agent available to help. I was truly shocked by their unprofessional approach, and when I finally did get through, their proposed solution was infuriating: Return them (even though their correct style and prescription) to RETURN AND REORDER to get the bogo they messed up and admitted. Why couldn't they just credit back to my card used? I felt compelled to leave this review and engage with customer service because their proposed solution was just unacceptable.
Customer: Hi, I'm calling about order [Order Number]. I had a huge issue trying to apply a BOGO promotion, and your website was full of glitches. CS Rep: I understand you're having trouble with a promotion, ma'am. Can you please elaborate on the issue? Customer: Yes, I tried to use your buy-one-get-one-free offer, but the site just wouldn't let me apply it. Now I have two pairs of glasses that are correct in style and prescription, but I didn't get the promo. This feels dishonest! CS Rep: I apologize for the frustration you've experienced with our website and the promotion, ma'am. To resolve this, our policy states that you would need to return the current order and then place a new order to correctly apply the buy-one-get-one offer. Customer: Return them? And reorder? Are you serious? You messed up, not me! Why can't you just credit my card for the price of the second pair? That's the simple solution, not making me go through this whole process again! CS Rep: I understand your preference, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes. Unfortunately, our system does not allow us to apply a credit directly for a promotional issue of this nature. The only way to ensure the BOGO promotion is applied correctly is through a return and reorder. I can certainly assist you with the return process if you'd like.
